    Cannabis is a drug that people usually smoke. It comes from a plant, and it can make a person feel relaxed, , slow, or anxious — it does not feel the same for everyone. In many countries it is illegal; in some places it is now legal for adults, or allowed as medicine. English also uses marijuana and weed for the same drug; cannabis is the more formal name, the one you see in news, in science, and in law. Though actually the same plant has long been grown as , for rope and cloth, with very little of the drug effect. In Taiwan it is still illegal.
