1. 1

Cameroonian is not the name of the country. The country — west of Africa, east of Nigeria, on the Gulf of Guinea, capital Yaoundé — is Cameroon. Cameroonian is the word for a person from that country, and for things that belong to it: Cameroonian food, a Cameroonian passport, the Cameroonian football team. It works like beside Taiwan. You can use it as an adjective or as a noun: “She is Cameroonian” / “He is a Cameroonian.” The ending is the usual English way of turning a place-name into a “from there” word.
