A cablecast is a show, a sports match, a concert, and so on that goes out on a cable television station, not on ordinary TV that comes through the air. You can use it as a name for the programme (a live cablecast of the game) or as a verb (they will cablecast the match tonight). It has a slightly official, industry feel. Everyday people more often say it is on cable, or they are showing it on cable. The word was built the same way as broadcast: keep the 'send it out' ending and change the first part.
