A bursary is money given to someone so they can study at a university or college. It often comes from the school itself or from a trust, and it is often given because the student needs help with the cost, not only because they got the top marks. In British English this is the ordinary word. American English more often says scholarship or grant, though those are not exact copies: a scholarship in many places is a prize for high marks; a bursary is often we will help you pay. It is not a loan — you do not have to pay it back. The person who may handle the paperwork is the ; that is a different word.
