- 1
When something is boxed, the shop sells it already inside a box, ready to take home. Boxed chocolates come in a tidy box with a lid; boxed wine comes in a , not a glass bottle; a boxed set is a group of books, films, or discs sold together in one box. It is ordinary shop and catalogue language — not fancy, not slang. You can also say “sold in a box,” which means the same thing. The word tells you about the packaging, not about the thing inside. (You may later meet boxed in, meaning trapped in a small space, but that is a different use.)
盒裝的、箱裝的
組成box (the container) + -ed (turns it into an adjective: put in / sold in a box).
