Boundless means there is no edge, no stop, no point where the thing runs out. People use it for space (a boundless sky), feeling (boundless love, boundless patience), and energy (a child with boundless energy — a set phrase). It is a little grander than endless or unlimited; you meet it more in stories, speeches, and songs than in the shop. The bound inside it is the old noun for a limit or a border (the bounds of the park), not a number you have measured. Though actually, English also has a verb bound that means to jump, and it only looks the same — boundless has nothing to do with jumping.
