The sense line copies the ideas of Blairism, and those ideas are what you need in your head. Though actually, Blairist is the sister word, not a second name for the package itself. A Blairist is someone who supports Tony Blair’s New Labour mix, or a policy, speech, or government that follows it: try for a fairer society without using high taxes as the main tool, and without putting tight controls on business and the economy. In newspapers you will see both the person (a leading Blairist) and the adjective (Blairist economics, a Blairist reform). English often works this way: the -ism is the set of ideas, the -ist is the person or the flavour. Students treat the two as the same word; keep Blairism for the ideas and Blairist for the person, or for things done in that style.
