    Bipartite means made of two different parts, or involving two different groups. It is a formal, almost technical word. Maths people use it a lot: a bipartite graph has two kinds of points, and lines only run between the kinds, never inside one kind. Law and biology use it too. Ordinary talk almost never does — people just say “in two parts” or “two groups.” It is not about political parties; that neighbouring word is . If you meet it outside a textbook, it will still feel stiff and careful.
