You call a person bigoted when they have already made up their mind about a whole group of people — a race, a religion, a country, sometimes men or women, or people who live a certain way — and they will not listen. It is not the same as just having a strong opinion. Plenty of people care a lot and can still hear the other side. A bigoted person has closed the door. The word is heavy on purpose; you use it when you are finding fault, not when you are teasing a friend. Though actually, in a fight people sometimes throw it at whoever disagrees with them, which is looser than the word really asks for. The person is bigoted; what they believe or do is bigotry.
組成From bigot + the ending -ed, which turns the noun into an adjective: like a bigot, or full of that attitude.
