A big-head is someone who thinks they are more important, clever, or talented than they are — and they let you feel it. You call a person a big-head when they boast, take too much credit, or walk around as if the room should clap. Informal, a little playground-sounding, and always disapproving. It is more British than American; Americans might say he is so full of himself. Never a compliment, even if you smile when you say it.
