Bearably is the adverb of bearable. If something happens bearably, it is still hard or not nice, but only to a degree you can deal with. 'The room was bearably warm' means the warmth was all right — not pleasant, maybe, but you could stay. You will not hear this word much. People prefer to use the adjective: 'it was bearable,' not 'it went bearably.' When the adverb does appear, it often sits in front of another describing word: bearably quiet, bearably short, bearably close. It is a precise, slightly bookish way to say 'not too much to stand.' It is not a cheerful word. It does not mean 'nicely' or 'well.'
