A bazillion is not a real number on a maths chart. People say it when they mean “a huge number” and they want to sound funny, tired, or both. “I have a bazillion emails” means far too many, not a number you could write down. It is playful, mostly American talk, at home in speech and messages, not in a careful essay or a science report. It sits with joke-words like zillion and gazillion. Though actually nobody agrees how big a bazillion is, because it was never meant to be exact — that is the whole joke. If you need a true figure, this is the wrong word.
