The two-letter postal abbreviation for the US state of Arizona — the one you write on an envelope, right before the ZIP code: 'Phoenix, AZ 85001'. Every US state has one of these two-letter codes, set by the postal service, and they are always written with two capital letters and no full stops. Not 'A.Z.', not 'Az'.
Use it in addresses, forms, tables, and data — places where space is short. In an ordinary sentence you write the full name: 'She moved to Arizona,' not 'She moved to AZ.' Americans do say the letters aloud sometimes ('I'm flying into AZ'), but that is casual speech, and in writing it looks like a shortcut.
Be warned that these letter pairs are everywhere: AZ is also the country code for on the internet (.az) and in some international lists, and companies use it for their own reasons. Context tells you which one you are looking at — an address means Arizona.
組成An abbreviation of Arizona — the first letter and the last letter. The US Postal Service chose two-letter codes for every state in 1963 so that addresses would fit machine sorting; some are the first two letters (CA), some first and last like this one, and some avoid clashes with other states.
