If you have something aplenty, you have a lot of it — often more than you need. It almost always comes after the noun: snacks aplenty, excuses aplenty, there were jobs aplenty. It has a slightly story-like, cheerful feel; ads and older writing like it. In everyday talk people more often put plenty of in front: plenty of time. Aplenty does not change for plural, and it is not a verb. You can hear it as an adjective after a noun, or as an adverb meaning “in large amounts.” Same idea either way: a lot, and then some.
