Anti-personnel is a military adjective for weapons made to harm people, not to smash buildings or vehicles. The classic example is an anti-personnel mine: it lies in the ground and is built to wound or kill a person who steps on it, not to break a tank. You will almost only meet this word in news, history, and army talk. It is cold and technical on purpose — armies use tidy labels for ugly things. Though actually, the line is not always clean: some weapons can do both jobs, and reports still pick the label that names the main target. It is not a word for office life, and it is not a word you throw around about a strict teacher.
「anti-personnel」是軍事用的形容詞，指專門用來傷害人的武器，目的是殺傷人員，不是用來摧毀建築或車輛。最典型的搭配是「anti-personnel mine」（反人員地雷）：它埋在地上，設計來讓踩到它的人受傷或死亡，而不是用來破壞戰車。這個字的規律是前面的 anti- 不變，後面接的東西就是它的目標。
