    Aha is the sound you make when something clicks — you suddenly understand, or you catch the answer, or you find what you were looking for. It can feel pleased, even a little proud: you saw it and the other person did not. In books and films the detective says “Aha!” English also uses an aha moment for that sudden click. It is informal, spoken, and a bit theatrical; in a quiet classroom it can sound like you are showing off, even if you do not mean to. Though actually, it is not the same as a soft ah of pity or pleasure — aha has a “got it” in it.
