Affability is the quality of being : a warm, easy way with people, so that talking to you feels comfortable. We use it of a person's manner over time, not of one kind act. It is a rather formal, slightly noun — more at home in a careful description than in chat. You might praise a host's affability, or a boss's affability in a tense meeting. It does not mean deep love, and it does not mean they agree with you. It means they are pleasant and easy to approach. In everyday talk, people more often say friendliness or warmth; affability sounds a little dressed-up.
