An advertorial is an advertisement written to look like a normal article in a newspaper, a magazine, or a website. The headline, the layout, even the helpful voice copy a real story — but a company paid for it, and it wants you to buy, join, or believe something. Honest papers label it as advertising or sponsored; some still hide it. Marketing people and journalists use the English word; ordinary readers may not. Though actually the line keeps moving: native ads, sponsored posts, a star “sharing” a product online — same idea in a new jacket. An advertorial is not a news story that happens to mention a brand. It is an ad wearing news clothes.
廣編稿(台灣報刊用語);網路上也說業配文。中國大陸較常說「軟文」。
