In writing, a/c is a short form of account. You see it on , bank papers, and office forms, almost never in speech — people say the full word “account” when they talk. Here an account is a record of money in and money out, or the numbered place your money lives at a bank. A line like “a/c 12345” means “this belongs to account number 12345,” and “a/c of Lin Trading” means that company’s account. It saves space on tight printed lines. Though actually, the same letters a/c on a machine, in a hotel, or in an often mean air conditioning. That is a different of a different word. This entry is only the money-and-records meaning.
a/c 是 account 的書面縮寫，常見於發票、銀行文件和辦公表格，說話時大家會說完整的 account。它指收支的紀錄，或是銀行裡你存錢的那個帳戶。紙上空間不夠時，用 a/c 可以省地方，例如「a/c 12345」（12345 號帳戶），或「a/c of Lin Trading」（林氏貿易公司的帳戶）。
