Ya is how people write the sound of you when it is said fast and in relaxed speech. Nearly every English speaker produces this sound many times a day without thinking — see ya, catch ya later, thank ya, I'll tell ya, what are ya doing? — but writing it down is a choice, and the choice is casual.
Ya is就是 the sound of you you 的聲音 in relaxed speech在放鬆的口語裡 when it is said fast and unstressed唸得又快又輕的時候, how people write大家把它寫下來的樣子。 Nearly every English speaker幾乎每個說英文的人 many times a day每天不知多少次 without thinking想都不想就 produces this sound發出這個音 — see ya, catch ya later, thank ya, I'll tell ya, what are ya doing? — but但 writing it down把它寫出來 is a choice是一種選擇, and the choice is casual而這個選擇是隨性的。
Where it stands for you and ("whatcha doing"), it also swallows other words, but the ya part is still you. It covers both you-as-subject and you-as-object, though the object use is far (see ya, love ya, miss ya).
Where it stands for you and在它代表 you 加上別的字的地方 ("whatcha doing"), it also swallows other words它連別的字也吞了進去, but the ya part但 ya 這一塊 is still you仍然是 you。 It covers both它兩邊都包: you-as-subject當主詞的 you and you-as-object和當受詞的 you, though不過 the object use受詞的用法 is far commoner常見得多 (see ya, love ya, miss ya)。
Register is the whole story. Ya belongs in text messages, comic strips, song lyrics, and writing that copies the way someone talks. In an email to a teacher or a boss it looks careless or too matey. Spoken, it is invisible and normal; written, it is loud.
Register語域 is the whole story就是全部的重點。 Ya belongs in屬於 text messages簡訊、 comic strips漫畫、 song lyrics歌詞, and writing以及那種 that copies the way someone talks照著人講話的樣子寫的文字。 In an email在寫 to a teacher or a boss給老師或老闆的信裡, it它 looks看起來 careless隨便, or too matey或裝熟過頭。 Spoken用說的, it它 is invisible and normal沒人會注意、很正常; written用寫的, it它 is loud就很大聲。
A separate word to keep apart: ya also gets written for yeah/yes in some accents and in of German ja. And a third one you will meet, mostly in Australia and northern England: ya used for your — "where's ya bag?" Note it has no : ya, not 'ya.
A separate word to keep apart另一個要分開記的: ya也 in some accents在某些口音裡 and in imitation of German ja以及模仿德文 ja 的時候, also gets written for會被拿來寫 yeah/yes。 And a third one you will meet還有第三個你會遇到的, mostly in Australia and northern England多半在澳洲和英格蘭北部: ya used for your被拿來當 your 用 — "where's ya bag?"你的包包呢? Note注意 it has no apostrophe它沒有縮寫撇號: ya, not 'ya是 ya,不是 'ya。
