A short way of writing 'with regard to' — that is, 'about this thing' or 'concerning this thing'. You use it to tell the reader which topic you are now answering: 'WRT your question about the price, we can offer 10% off.' It belongs to typing, not to speaking. Nobody says the letters out loud in a meeting; it lives in email, chat, forums and text messages, where people are saving . It is often written in small letters too — 'wrt'. The feeling is a strange mix: 'with regard to' by itself is quite formal office English, but cutting it down to three letters makes it casual, so WRT sits best in quick internal messages between colleagues who know each other, not in a careful letter to a customer or a professor. Some people also expand it as 'with respect to', which in this use means the same thing. In careful writing, just write 'about', 'regarding' or 'on'.
