Wrinkled describes a surface that has small lines, folds or creases in it instead of being smooth. You use it about two main things. First, skin: a wrinkled face, wrinkled hands — usually from age, though also from lying in the bath too long. Second, cloth and paper: a wrinkled shirt, a wrinkled map, a wrinkled photograph. It stretches nicely to other things with the same look — a wrinkled apple that has dried out, a wrinkled dog like a shar-pei, wrinkled bedsheets. It comes before a noun ("a wrinkled shirt") or after be/get ("my shirt is wrinkled", "the paper got wrinkled in my bag"). Be careful with tone: about skin, wrinkled is honest but a little unkind — you would not tell your grandmother "your face is wrinkled". People soften it by talking about "a few lines" or "laughter lines" instead. About cloth it is completely neutral; nobody minds. Note also the fixed phrase "wrinkled with age" and the verb wrinkle: your nose wrinkles when you smell something bad, and your forehead wrinkles when you are puzzled. British speakers say crumpled or creased for cloth at least as often as wrinkled; wrinkled for a shirt sounds slightly more American.
