A short written form of "Wednesday", the day between Tuesday and Thursday. You see it where space is tight: calendars, , opening-hours signs, weather charts, a diary page. Some styles write it with a full stop (Wed.), some without (Wed), and both are fine — the full stop is more common in American writing, and British writing often drops it. There is also a three-letter-plus form "Weds", which people use because "Wed" on its own looks like the verb "wed" (to marry). Nobody says "Wed" out loud; when you read "Open Wed. 9-5" aloud, you say the whole word "Wednesday". Because it is a name of a day, the W stays capital, even inside a sentence.
組成Just the first three letters of Wednesday, cut short. Wednesday itself comes from Old English Wōdnesdæg, "Woden's day" — Woden was a god. That buried 'd' is why the spelling has a 'd' that nobody pronounces.
