A webhead is a person who spends a lot of time on the Internet and is good at it — someone who knows where things are, how to find them, and how the online world works. The '-head' ending here means a fan or someone deeply into something, the same way we say a metalhead loves metal music or a gearhead loves cars. So a webhead is not just any user; it suggests real enthusiasm and some skill. The word feels informal and a bit dated now. It came from the 1990s, when being on the Internet a lot was still unusual enough to need its own name. Today almost everyone is online all day, so calling someone a webhead sounds a little funny, like calling someone a 'telephone person'. You will still meet it in older articles, and sometimes people use it . One more thing, though: 'Webhead' is also a nickname for Spider-Man, because of his webs. If a student sees the word in a comic or a film, that is probably the meaning, not the Internet one.
