Describes eyes that do not point the same way — one or both turn , towards the side, instead of both looking straight ahead. It is one kind of squint (doctors call the outward kind exotropia). It can also describe an eye that looks strangely pale or white-ish, and it is used of horses and dogs with a very light blue eye. Be careful with it: when it is said about a person it usually sounds or old-fashioned, so a doctor would say "has a squint" or name the condition, and in everyday kind speech you would too. There is a second, quite different use in writing: wall-eyed with rage or wall-eyed with fear, meaning eyes wide and staring, not really seeing. That one is literary, not medical. Always , and it goes before a noun or after "be".
組成wall here is not a building wall — it comes from an old Norse word for an eye with a pale ring, which English then rewrote as the familiar word "wall".
