Vedanta is one of the main systems of Hindu philosophy — a way of thinking about the self, God, and what is really real, built on the last part of the Vedas. Its central question is the relationship between the individual self and the ultimate reality called Brahman, and different schools of Vedanta answer that question differently; the most famous school teaches that the two are actually one.
