Uncrushable describes a spirit that cannot be — a person, a hope, or a will that keeps going no matter how much pressure comes down on it. 'Her uncrushable determination' means that whatever happened, she did not give up and could not be talked out of it. This is the figurative use, and it is warm: to call someone uncrushable is to admire them. The word is not one of the very common English ; it is built freshly from the parts when a writer wants that particular picture, so you will meet it in profiles, and speeches more than in daily talk. There is also a plain physical use, which shows you where the feeling comes from: fabric can be uncrushable, meaning it does not when you squash it into a suitcase, and some packaging is uncrushable because a box on top will not it. Hold both pictures at once — a fist coming down on something that will not go flat — and the emotional meaning explains itself.
