To two-time someone is to cheat on them — to be secretly seeing another person while you are still in a relationship with them. It is a verb, and the person you are being TO is the object: 'She two-timed him for months' means she was his girlfriend and was secretly with someone else as well. Note that direction carefully, because it catches out. It is informal and spoken, a bit old-fashioned now — it has a 1950s film feeling to it, and younger people usually just say 'cheat on'. It is also lighter in tone than 'cheat on': you can say it with a raised , half joking, in a way 'he was ' does not allow. People do stretch it beyond romance, joking about loyalty to a , a coffee shop or a football team — 'I'm two-timing my usual barber' — but that is a joke built on the romantic meaning, not a separate one. Forms: two-timed, two-timing. There is a completely separate thing to keep apart: 'two-time' as in 'a two-time champion' means someone who won twice. Same spelling, no connection — that one is an adjective before a noun, this one is a verb.
