A travolator is the flat moving you stand on at an airport — a long rubber belt in the floor that carries you down the corridor while you rest or keep walking on top of it. It is flat, or only gently ; if it goes up between floors like , that is an , not this. The honest truth about this word is that hardly anyone says it. In real speech people say 'the moving ', 'the travelator' (spelt with an e, and that spelling is more common in Britain and Australia), or just 'that moving thing'. In American English you will mostly hear 'moving ' or 'moving sidewalk'. So learn it to recognise it — you may see it on a sign or in a dictionary — and use 'moving ' when you speak.
