The plural form of 'that'. Used to refer to people or things that are further away, or that have already been mentioned.

Picture yourself pointing away from where you stand: 'those' is the far-and-plural pointing word. It is the plural of 'that', so it picks out more than one person or thing that is over there rather than right here — either physically further off, or already mentioned a moment ago so you can just gesture back at them.
