    正式For that reason — used to show that what comes next is the result of what was just said.

    「therefore」用來把「原因」和「結果」連起來：前面講了一件事，therefore 後面就是「所以」推出來的結果。可以想成它在說「因為剛剛那樣，所以接下來這樣」。它比口語的 so 正式很多，常出現在寫作、解釋、做結論的時候。位置很靈活，可以放句首，也可以夾在句中（用逗號隔開）。

You can hold therefore as a small arrow standing between two thoughts: the first thought is the cause, and therefore points across to the second as its result. It tells the reader 'because of what I just said, here is what follows.'
