British: to rain very heavily — same job as 'pour down'. Nearly always with 'it' as the subject: 'It's teeming down.' You may also hear 'teeming with rain'. Separate fact: 'teem' alone means 'be full of' (a river teeming with fish) — a different job for the same word.
