The Taoiseach is the prime minister of the Republic of Ireland — the head of the government there. Ireland kept the Irish-language title instead of translating it, so even English-language news says 'the Taoiseach' rather than 'the Irish prime minister', much the same way English says 'the Chancellor' for Germany. It is said roughly TEE-shukh (about three sounds: tee-shuhkh), which is nothing like how it looks, so do not feel bad about it. Used with 'the' when you mean the office, and capitalised. The deputy is called the Tánaiste. The plural, if you ever need it, is Taoisigh. You will meet this word mainly in news about Ireland, Brexit, or EU meetings.
組成Borrowed whole from Irish Taoiseach, which meant 'chieftain, leader' long before it meant prime minister. The plural Taoisigh is also borrowed straight from Irish.
