The tango is a dramatic, close dance from Argentina, danced by two people with sharp, sudden steps, usually to slow, passionate music. Because it takes two people working closely together, English has the saying "it takes two to tango" — meaning you can't blame just one side for a problem between two people, both sides are involved.
