T-ball is a simple form of baseball made for very young children, usually about four to seven years old. The one big change is this: nobody pitches the ball. Instead the ball sits still on top of a rubber stand — a 'batting tee', which looks like a tall letter T — and the child swings at a ball that is not moving. That takes away the hardest part of baseball for a small child, which is hitting something thrown fast at you, so every child gets to hit, run, and feel good.
T-ball是 made for very young children為很小的孩子設計的 a simple form of baseball一種簡化的棒球,usually about four to seven years old通常大約四到七歲。The one big change唯一的大改變 is this是這個:nobody沒有人 pitches the ball投球。Instead改成 the ball球 on top of a rubber stand放在一個橡膠架上 sits still靜止不動——a 'batting tee'叫「打擊座」,which looks like a tall letter T看起來像一個高高的字母 T——and而 the child孩子 at a ball that is not moving對著一顆不會動的球 swings揮棒。That這 for a small child替小小孩 takes away拿掉了 the hardest part of baseball棒球最難的部分——which is hitting something thrown fast at you也就是打到朝你快速飛來的東西——so於是 every child每個孩子 gets to hit, run都能打到球、能跑壘,and feel good也能覺得自己很棒。
Everything else is roughly baseball, but gentler: shorter games, softer balls, and in many leagues nobody keeps score. It is very much an American and Japanese/ thing, tied to places where baseball is the children's game. You will also see it written 'tee-ball' or 'Tee Ball'.
Everything else其他一切 is roughly baseball大致就是棒球,but gentler只是更溫和:shorter games比賽較短、softer balls球較軟,and in many leagues而且在很多聯盟裡 nobody keeps score沒有人記分。It它 very much非常是 an American and Japanese/Taiwanese thing美國和日本、台灣的東西,to places where baseball is the children's game跟棒球是孩子們的運動的那些地方 tied綁在一起。You你 also也 will see it written會看到它寫成 'tee-ball' or或 'Tee Ball'。
Grown-ups sometimes use it as a picture in ordinary talk: to say a question was 'a T-ball question' means it was made easy on purpose, sitting still and waiting to be hit.
Grown-ups大人 sometimes有時 in ordinary talk在日常談話裡 use it as a picture拿它當比喻:to say說 a question was某個問題是 'a T-ball question',means意思是 it was made easy on purpose它被故意弄得很簡單,sitting still and waiting to be hit靜靜擺在那裡等人打。
組成T + ball。這個 T 不是隨便取的——球放在一個叫 batting tee 的架子上,那個架子的形狀就像大寫字母 T。
