Swayed is the past form of 'sway.' Sway has two main meanings. First, it means to move slowly from side to side, like a tree swaying in the wind, or a person swaying to music. Second, it means to change someone's opinion or decision - if a speech swayed the voters, it means it convinced them to think differently.
