1. 1

A lamp that gives out the kind of light that browns your skin, used indoors to get a tan without the sun. It was popular in the past, in homes and salons, when a tanned skin was fashionable in Western countries; today doctors warn about it and it sounds a little dated. Note two other uses. In medicine, a similar lamp is used to treat some skin problems. And in film and photography, a sunlamp can mean a big light that sunlight on a set. Also spelled "sun lamp" as two words.

    太陽燈、日光燈(美容用的曬黑燈;注意台灣說的「日光燈」通常是指辦公室的螢光燈管,不是這個)
