- 1
Storytelling is the act or skill of telling stories — out loud to a group, in writing, in a movie, or even in how a company talks about its brand. It can describe a simple activity (a grandmother's storytelling to grandchildren before bed) or a skilled art form (a director praised for his storytelling). It's often used as a positive, almost word: good storytelling means the story is told in a way that holds people's interest.
