A wide blade moving forward and shoving whatever is in front of it out to the sides. That is a plough in a field, and it is a snow plough on a road. Nothing is picked up and nothing is carried away: it is all pushed aside, and what was pushed ends up piled along the edge.
可以想成一片寬寬的板子往前推，把前面的東西全部往兩邊撥開。田裡的犁這樣翻土，路上的鏟雪車也這樣撥雪。雪沒有被帶走，只是被推到旁邊，所以路清出來的同時，路邊就堆起一長條。這個「往前推、往兩側撥」的畫面，是這一頁兩個意思共用的東西。
