Silverstone is a famous motor-racing track in south-central England. The British Grand Prix — Britain’s big international car race — is held there. The circuit was built on an old wartime airfield; after the war, people started racing on the runways, and the place became one of the great names in Formula One.

When English speakers say Silverstone in a sports conversation, they almost always mean the track and the race weekend, not the small village next door, though the village is where the name comes from.
When English speakers say Silverstone當英語使用者在講運動話題時說Silverstone in a sports conversation they almost always mean the track and the race weekend幾乎都是指這座賽道和比賽那個週末 not the small village next door而不是隔壁那個小村莊 though the village is where the name comes from雖然這個名字其實是從那個村莊來的
It is a place name, so it takes a capital S. You do not say “a silverstone,” and you do not treat it as a kind of stone.
It is a place name這是個地名 so it takes a capital S所以S要大寫 You do not say "a silverstone,"你不會說「a silverstone」 and you do not treat it as a kind of stone也不會把它當成一種石頭
組成A place name. The racing track takes its name from the nearby village of Silverstone. What the village name first meant, I will not guess.
