Someone who is silver-tongued is very good at talking to people — not just speaking clearly, but in a way that makes others like them, trust them, or say yes. News writers love it for politicians, lawyers, and people who sell things: a silver-tongued speaker. On the surface it is praise for a smooth, pleasant way with words. Though actually it can carry a small warning too, as if the person is so good at talking that you should keep your head. It is a little old-fashioned and ; in the street people are more likely to say “a good .” You usually put it before a noun (a silver-tongued lawyer). It is about speech, not about the metal, and not about singing.
組成silver + tongued. Silver here is the old picture-sense: soft, clear, and pleasant in sound, like the ring you hear when silver is struck — not the metal in a ring. Tongued means “having that kind of tongue / way of speaking.”
