The Severn is a long river in Britain. It rises in the mountains of Wales and runs through southwest England until it meets the sea in the Bristol Channel. It is the longest river in the United Kingdom, though actually many visitors only know the name from the Severn Bridge, which carries the road from England into South Wales.
