A sensualist is someone who is deeply interested in physical pleasure — food, touch, warmth, sex, the feel of cloth and skin — and may seem to put that first. The word can be almost fond, but it often raises an eyebrow, as if this person lives for the body and not for much else. It names a person. It is not a “sensitive” person (who feels emotions easily), and it is not about the five senses in the classroom way that sensory is.
