A secessionist is someone who wants their country or state to be independent of another country. You also hear it as a describing word: a secessionist movement, secessionist leaders. It is a formal, political label. Newspapers use it; friends chatting rarely do. It names what someone wants, not whether they have already left. The person can be loud about it or quiet; the word only says which side they are on.
分離主義者;獨立派
