A seahorse is a small fish that lives in warm, shallow sea water. Its head and neck look a little like a horse, and it swims standing up, which is a strange way for a fish to move. It is not a strong swimmer; it holds on to sea grass with its tail. Though actually it is a fish, not a horse at all, and it is not related to horses — only the shape of the head made the name.
