A seabird is a bird that lives by the sea and gets its food from the sea — fish, small sea animals, or scraps on the water. Gulls are the ones students see first; puffins, albatrosses, and many others are seabirds too. Some spend almost their whole life over the ocean and come to land only to have chicks.
