SCSI is a way a computer talks to another piece of electronic equipment — a hard drive, a scanner, a printer — especially through a cable. The letters stand for Small Computer System Interface, but almost nobody says that full name out loud. People in computing, especially anyone who grew up with older desktop machines, say it “scuzzy.” From the 1980s into the 2000s it was a serious standard: thick cables, fiddly settings, but fast, and you could chain several devices on one line. USB and later disk connections took its everyday place on home machines, though the idea still lives on in server rooms under newer names. This is tech talk, not school-essay talk.
