This is an offensive British word for a woman. A speaker uses it to insult her by saying she has sex for money, or that she has sex with a lot of men. It is meant to make her feel cheap. Do not use this word. You may still hear it in older British speech, in angry talk, or in a book; it is not a playful nickname, and it does not travel kindly. Though actually, the same spelling also means a brush or a machine that cleans things — a perfectly ordinary word. If you meet scrubber and the talk is about cleaning, that is the other meaning. If it is aimed at a woman, it is the insult. Leave that one alone.
