A Saudi is a person from Saudi Arabia, the large country on the Arabian Peninsula. You say a Saudi for one person and the Saudis for the people as a group. Though actually, English also parks the same word in front of a noun — Saudi oil, the Saudi government — to mean “of that country,” so it is not only a person-word. It is a calm, newspaper-normal word, not slang and not rude. Do not stretch it to mean every Arab: Arabs live in many countries; a Saudi is from this one country, named after the royal family Saud.
