The state of being completely full, soaked, or filled up so that no more can be added or absorbed — water saturation in soil, for example. In business, 'market saturation' means so many companies are already selling a product that there's no more room to grow. In color and photography, 'saturation' means how strong or pure a color is, rather than pale or grey.
